Journey: Copenhagen – Roskilde – รland
What a wonderful first day! We picked up Heike and drive over to the Viking Centre at Roskilde and had a lovely catch up and look around. It’s amazing seeing the reconstructions and boat builders hard at work. The smell of timber was divine ๐
Arriving at the festival, this has such a different vibe to it compared with Dutch Acro Convention. This is much smaller and a big focus has been on mixing, getting to know one another and forming mini tribes. It’s super friendly, fun, and welcoming, plus the food is amazing! I haven’t done acro for a month so went to an open level class which was quite basic but I pushed myself to base as much as fly so learnt good technique and really enjoyed it. Heike challenged herself at the advanced class and equally enjoyed it. While Markles skipped the class he did come to the open ceremony and join in all the activities (as did the pups ๐). One of my main goals of this break is to be present, enjoy and focus on the now, and stop planning the future. That said I’ve taken hardly any photos as just been too involved in the now. Roll on tomorrow
