Day 67 – Perfect end to a perfect festival

Journey: Post Move Acro Festival day 4

This is going to be gushy as we really have had the best time and I would highly recommend post move festival to all my acro friends ❤️

While Mark went to yoga class, Heike and I started our day with more handstands and Sam’s lessons are brilliant for teaching strength and technique, we really have improved so we much since we started.

My first workshop was pops and again I’m basing and flying. I managed a small pop on a large chap when basing and as a flyer did some really high birds pops and pops from star. It’s been great working with so many people of different abilities, lots of women and developing my basing skills. I’ve also learnt of other possible acro retreats so need to accidently drive to Croatia and Slovenia soon 😜

During the lunch break I opted for a second handstand class, a bonus one on straddle technique and obviously exhausted myself as I went back to the van and fully feel asleep this missing over an hour of the next workshop! By luck on my way to the shower I bumped into Heike and Drake who had left the workshop early and were heading to the beach. Me being typically British initially paddled in my knickers before joining them for a skinny dip – my first in Denmark! The water is so shallow even far off shore it was just above knee. Heike braved a quick swim, and Drake did a genital dunk, while I was content with just wet knees. We then had a lovely long shower and relaxed before dinner.

Before each meal we all group in a circle and sing together. No matter whether your singing voice resembles a yowling cat or songbird (mine definitely the former) by now the collective voice is lovely and we just enjoy the band and fun of singing together. The food is exceptional, gosh I’ve never eaten so much and so well. Healthy vegan food all the way 😋 Over dinner we shared daft stories of our travels and romantic bliss (read parking arguments 😂), which went down well.

Our final evening Heike and I cuddled and chatted before heading outside to see the sunset and join the hubster for some fun, acro and thumb wars. I fancied a final sauna and when suggested we escape to cool down and shower, I was hosed down outside…not what I was expecting but thankfully warm water the first time…which lulled me into a false sense of security as it was freezing the second time!

Now for sleep and happy thoughts of tomorrow’s breakfast. This has been an absolute delight and I’d love to come back next year ❤️🤸
